“Bowling Administration” Plugin
This plugin is designed for lawn bowling clubs. It started it’s journey in 2013 and took a couple of years of software coding to develop into a full blown lawn bowls online tool. It uses wordpress the most popular website platform used on the internet. There are over 90,000 plugins developed for wordpress which makes it a very powerful platform for websites. WordPress websites are dynamic not static. This means that each time a web page is viewed online it is automatically generated via a database. This plugin has a specifically designed database to store all of a bowling clubs information. The software was designed to help with administering the club membership with a big focus on automating Match Committee tasks as much as possible. Your club championships results are live online the moment each game ends. This means members that are away from the club can view results on their phones as they happen. Import all your club members information into a database.
Create yearly capitation reports which can be emailed to your Centre and/or Bowls NZ.
Ability to add all your events, such as club championships, galas, tournaments etc, club rep team selections. If any conceivable event isn’t available then it can be added by further plugin development.
Club members can enter club events online. Players can also see who has entered and therefore save time organising their own teams. Also helps remind members what events they have entered or need to enter without the necessity to visit the club house That’s handy for older members and lets face it, on average our membership age memory isn’t as good as it use to be. Bowlers from other clubs can also enter online in your open events.
Another powerful feature is the ability to create events and draws for all types of playing formats.
Add live results so members can see the instantly progress in club championships via their phones or computers if they happen to be away from the club.
Club rep team can be selected and displayed online.
General public or bowlers from other clubs can nominate to join your club through your website interactive nomination form. Once someone has submitted this form, they go into your database under the category “pending nomination” and it’s just a single click for the secretary to change their application from pending to membership once approved at the executive meeting.
You can create as many different membership types, an example might be Life, Full, Limited, Junior, Academy, Associate and Social etc.
The plugin has the ability to add club officials positions and assign your members to these positions.
All members have their own profile where contact and bowling information is stored.
If the club wishes, an online members phone list can quickly be created and this page for security reasons should be password protected. Your club members list is always up to date, not like your club book which starts to become out of date once it is printed. Also members can download or print the list at any time. If a club is happy for the public to access this information, the password can be removed.
